New online service offers small businesses and retailers another source of income during difficult times!

November 9, 2001: Tools4auctions.com, a new online service to small business retailers, is now offering state of the art Auction Shops for sellers on eBay. Similar to eBay Stores, Auction Shops are better designed and dramatically less expensive. A $100 item sold on eBay Stores costs the seller about $4.05 compared to just $0.69 on Auction Shops.

Tools4auctions.com amalgamates three services; display ad creation, image hosting, and online shops. These are tailored specifically for the smaller auction sellers who have made eBay so successful.

"Because of the recession and the events of September 11, many small retailers are struggling to stay in business. We offer a viable and inexpensive way for retailers to develop an additional source of income." says John Crittenden, President of Tools4Auctions. "In addition to selling on eBay auctions, they can increase their sales by selling fixed price items in their Auction Shops, for much less than eBay Stores, using the same ad listings with no extra work." New ads are added automatically to a seller's Auction Shop.

In addition to facing tough economic conditions, smaller sellers are seeing major competition lately from larger companies selling on eBay as well. Big business is finding that eBay is a great way to unload excess inventory. "The big guys are pushing the smaller sellers out of the market," says Safa Rashtchy, an analyst at US Bancorp Piper Jaffray and quoted in MSNBC. "These large companies have visibility and brand recognition, and it's tough for smaller sellers to compete."

Smaller sellers need to build additional sources of income and brand themselves to be recognized. Tools4auctions makes both objectives not only possible, but easy and cost effective.

Display ads are created using professionally designed templates which can include the seller's logo and contact information. With over 2,000 combinations of designs, color themes and backgrounds to choose from, sellers can create a distinct brand that buyers will come to recognize and trust.

Auction Shops consist of two galleries, 'eBay Auctions', which lists current auctions on eBay, and 'Upcoming Auctions' where sellers can sell for a fixed price, prior to listing on eBay. Each eBay listing has a link directly to the eBay Auctions page, leveraging the exposure of those listings and increasing views while adhering to eBay's 2-click rule. Selling direct on the Upcoming Auctions page can lower the overall cost of selling.
